Xiaomi introduces the new Mijia refrigerator, which removes unpleasant odors in just 3 minutes.
Xiaomi recently released the new Mijia Refrigerator Pro 508L in China, featuring an ion purification system that can remove odors within three minutes. The system can eliminate odors from various food items and neutralize ethylene gas, which speeds up the ripening of fruits and vegetables.
What features does the Mijia Refrigerator Pro provide?
The main advantage of the refrigerator is its Global Ion Purification 4.0 system, which utilizes an ion generator to cleanse the air within its compartments. This prevents the lingering mix of odors often found in refrigerators storing various types of food.
The company states that the system achieves a sterilization rate of 99.9999% and operates within the entire interior of the refrigerator, extending the shelf life of food products, particularly fresh ones.
The model features a two-part cooling system, which includes separate evaporators and fans for the refrigerator and freezer. This setup helps prevent odor transfer between compartments and enables precise temperature and humidity control.
Mijia Refrigerator Pro 508L focuses on high-end attributes in addition to ion purification. It offers a total capacity of 508 liters, with 297 liters in the main compartment, 35 liters in an adjustable temperature zone, and 176 liters in the freezer.
The optional ice automatic manufacturing module can produce cubes in only 55 minutes, and Xiaomi emphasizes the quiet operation, with a noise level of just 31 dB.
Xiaomi’s refrigerator design is compact with a depth of just 60 centimeters, making it suitable for built-in installation in custom kitchens. Additionally, it is integrated into the brand’s smart ecosystem and can be controlled remotely using the Mi Home app through HyperOS Connect.
Price and stock status
The Mijia Refrigerator Pro 508L is now up for pre-order in China at a price of 9,999 yuan, approximately equivalent to R $ 7,600 in direct conversion, excluding taxes and fees. There is currently no information on its global launch or availability in Brazil.
